Call me Eleazar. The most transcendent of my life, did not arrive until the moment I signed the "settlement" of my contract logger and Sara put me out on the street. Ours was a coexistence of six turbulent years: full of dialects of the ongoing fighting, for my temper, almost on the verge of shyness-out, almost always, very badly. I remember being in the restaurant's bar "The Golden Fork" and was on the table: a bowl of salad and a fried fish, when it appeared Iñaki. He sat beside me and started talking, sipping a good red Rioja. When we had emptied the second bottle, we conclude that the goddess chance had brought us together: he needed an assistant to participate in a rally across the Sahara and I did not work.
It was a great adventure for me and without thinking for a minute, I agreed. We had several hours of travel we were overtaken by a sandstorm. I rode in the back to the care of provisions. I know that I started feeling bad. I lost consciousness. When I recovered I was alone and lying on the sand. I shook my head slowly. All bones ached. Iñaki I called several times. I sat up slowly. In my eyes the dunes and the sun in its setting - and glorious orange-began to hide quickly. It was an appalling spectacle that made me forget for a moment, my situation. The storm had subsided. Horrified I asked, but ... what I do in the desert?
I could not help thinking that my end was near. Had only my hands and, for the moment, I did not know what would be worth in such a hostile place.
