Terminology used in reverse osmosis membranes and modules
Since different texts, catalogs, technical articles, etc. they appreciate different ways of naming the same effects, we should establish the terminology we use in our range of manufactured Reverse Osmosis (RO) permeate
: product water low salinity.
Concentrate: Water rejected by the membrane and higher concentration than the feed water.
Recovery or Collection: percentage ratio between the volume of permeated water and food. An installation work at 75% recovery yield of 100 parts feed, 75 parts of concentrated permeate and 25. The value in per unit is called Y.
concentration factor: Number of times concentrated reject water or concentrate on food.
TDS or Salinity Total: Total number of sales present.
Fuga Fuga de Sales or Ionic : percentage ratio between the salts in the permeate and feed TDS. Rejection
Sales: Percentage removal of leaves
